UPDATE ON RURAL ROADS - 13:20hrs A537 & A54 #Macclesfield / #Congleton to #Buxton are still closed at this time The issue is the ice, so it may look clear on sections but as you can see from my car the rain is turning straight into a hidden hazard. The decision is due to be reviewed in the next few hours by Cheshire East Council - but as things get colder we might see the ice risk increase? You may drive a vehicle that would easily take on some of the challenges, albeit we have seen a very expensive 4x4 in a ditch today. Sometimes it can just go wrong and so then it's about how we can respond to help you and the availability of the emergency and voluntary services.
